Women's Retreat
September 17-19, 2010
The
Women’s Retreat at Hartland Christian Camp in California is centered around
the themes of the Bible and will give you inspiration and ideas that will
impact your growth as a Christian throughout the year.
SPEAKER
Muriel Cook
Muriel
Cook counsels and speaks for women’s groups internationally. Much of
her life has been spent in cross-cultural, overseas situations. She
was born in Foochow, China, of missionary parents. She and her
husband lived in Taiwan for 16 years, where their two daughters,
Michele and Milei, were born.
Muriel has an
effective counseling ministry with students, alumni, missionary
women, and pastor’s wives. She also teaches “Kitchen-Table”
counseling seminars for women, conducts weekend retreats, and with
her husband, shares in church missionary conferences and marriage
seminars.
The practical,
refreshing, spiritual insights she communicate come out of a rich
family heritage, a warm, loving relationship with husband and
children and a lifetime of helping people with their problems.
Her husband, Norman,
is a retired professor of missions and intercultural studies at
Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon, where she is
counselor-at-large. During school vacations they travel worldwide to
minister to missionaries and the local church.
She is eager to train
God’s women to walk intimately with Him and to effectively reach
out to other women.

was Director of Music for Southwest Community Church in Indian
