Emissaryband is more than a name, it's a lived out mission statement for the three members John Orozco, Daniel Orozco, and Aaron Davis. This established band has not only created a relevant sound, but a relevant purpose. Growing fans stand behind their progressive and inspiring music and also their relentless pursuit of justice for those who need it most. They have raised thousands of dollars to pay for life saving procedures and medical treatment for the needy around the world.
Eric Heard is the Men's Ministry Pastor at Mariners Church. His education includes a B.A. in Christian Education from Biola University, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot Seminary.
Eric has served in many important ministries, including 23 years as a Junior High and High School Pastor at Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton and 6 years as a Family Ministries Pastor at Mariners Church in Irvine and presently oversees spiritual growth/small groups.
Each member of the band carries a different story to tell about how the Grace of God has rescued them from failure and despair. They all serve in different ministries within the body of Christ besides just in music and all have normal full time jobs. Bryan is actually a middle school algebra teacher (now, don't get sick students) and track coach and loves working with youth of all walks of life.
Clothing: Hartland Christian Camp is located at an elevation of about 4500 feet with temperatures varying greatly. Summer afternoons are generally warm (low 70's to mid 90's) and nights are cool to cold with temperatures from the 60's down to the 40's at times.

Hartland is very isolated and there are no gasoline stations nearby. Make sure you fill up before you come up the mountain. If you are coming through Visalia, the last place to buy gas is in Lemon Cove. If you are coming from the North, the last place will be in Fresno.
It is our desire to provide a fun, yet safe, environment for each camper. In order to accomplish this, a Registered Nurse is on-site and available 24-hours-a-day to assist with medical emergencies, first-aid, and administration of medications. Please ensure that medical forms are filled out completely. All campers' medications must be in their original containers, labeled with name and clear instructions.
Medications should then be placed in one labeled zip-lock bag per individual. These bags are to be turned in to the nurse upon check-in.
These items will be sent as part of a promotional packet to all churches who sign up for summer camp.
Group Registration
SUMMER CAMP - Group Discount information
Hartland offers a discount camp fee for churches that will guarantee a certain number of campers, help with the registration process, and secure counselors for their campers.
How it works:
Our part:
We supply masters for the registration form, confirmation notice, medical form, etc. that you will need to register and confirm your campers. You will receive a $34.00 reduction in camp fees for each camper. The individual camp fee for 2012 is $374, so that means you pay only $340 for each camper by registering as a group. Plus, each camper and counselor will receive a free camp tee shirt, a free camp photo, and free access to recreation activities. We will also provide you with a free promotional video and posters to get the word out to your students and parents.
Your Part:
1. You decide how many camper spots you want to reserve and mail or fax your Letter of Intent.
2. You secure the spots by signing the contract(s) and making a non-refundable deposit of $35 per camper.
3. You collect the completed registration cards and money from your campers.
4. You give the campers the confirmation information, medical forms, etc.
5. You supply one counselor for each 7 campers. There is no charge for the counselors to attend camp.
6. 2 weeks prior to camp, you give Hartland one check for the balance of the camp fees due, cabin assignment sheets, completed medical forms, and volunteer counselor applications.

This summer we’ll explore the amazing statements in the Bible that seem to be completely upside down. We’ll seek to answer, from Scripture, the nagging questions about why God allows things to go on and how it is that He’s really at work constantly all around us, even when life seems out of control. Then we’ll provide students with the tools they need to “turn the world upside down” (Acts 17:6) the way great men and women of faith have done, through the power of God, for over two millennia.
