Joe Brown

Joe Brown studied at Colorado Christian University and Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, is a 45-year veteran youth pastor, Eagle Scout, conqueror of Mt. Whitney, and awarded winning pie baker in the Tulare County fair. In 1994, he founded the Christian Youth Film Society based in Bakersfield, CA to inspire and equip young people globally to create films rooted in faith, hope, and love, believing that filmmaking fosters conviction, communication, and collaboration among youth. Brown serves on the boards of the Fox Theater Foundation and Kern Leadership Alliance, is a certified presenter for Real World Parenting, teaches film making at Legacy Christian Academy, and teaches Woodworking at Valley Oaks Charter Schools. Joe loves his family and likes racquetball, woodworking, backpacking, and scuba diving.
