Seasonal Camp Support Staff

Thank you for your interest in seasonal (part-time) employment at Hartland Christian Camp. Serving in camping ministry can be one of the most fulfilling jobs you’ll ever experience. Our seasonal staff help Hartland meet ministry objectives during our non-summer season. Support roles exist to further the mission of sharing the Gospel at camp while we serve the church all year long.

Hartland is dedicated to bringing glory to Christ and serving His Church all year long. Candidates should be sincere followers of Christ, highly-motivated to share the Gospel, ministry-focused, and high-performing individuals, regardless of the role being applied for. All candidates are required to provide a pastoral reference as part of the application process in order to be considered for any role at camp.

Scope: Assists Hartland in fulfilling its mission through campus readiness, operational flexibility, and comprehensive staffing support.

Mission Description:

Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall readiness of all facilities and recreation areas for guest use, allowing campers to maintain an uninterrupted focus on Christ. Our ultimate goal is to witness to campers, guests, and fellow staff members both directly through the Gospel and indirectly through a servant’s attitude and excellent execution.

Requirements:

· Spiritual Maturity: A vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ; regular attendance at a local church; and a joyful willingness to serve others.

· Relational Intelligence: Friendly, approachable, and able to effectively represent the heart of the camp to both guests and staff.

· Autonomy: A proven self-starter who is able to work independently, manage time efficiently, and complete tasks thoroughly without constant supervision.

· Must possess valid California driver’s license and be insurable

· Physically capable of performing manual labor in an outdoor, high-elevation camp environment; must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and occasionally heavier loads.

· Adaptability & Focus: Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a positive attitude toward organizational shifts, changing daily priorities, and cross-departmental assignments.
