Camp Wortman
The Camp Wortman facility is located just south of Hartland Christian Camp’s main campus and is adjacent to Hartland’s original 320-acre property. It offers a rustic option for those who prefer tent camping and the ability to prepare their own meals. It is roughly 80 acres with a creek, trails to explore, and great views of the valley.
Originally a Boy Scout camp, Hartland acquired this property in July of 2020, and improvements are continually being made. We still serve Boy Scouts at this location and use the Camp Wortman Campus to fulfill our ministry objectives.
Hartland Christian Camp is a conservative, Bible-based camp seeking to partner with like-minded Christian churches and ministries in spreading the Good News, that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. You can view our complete statement of faith. We desire that every camper be introduced to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord while at camp. The goal being to make disciples committed to knowing, living, and sharing a compelling faith.

FACILITIES
The Lodge: The Lodge provides indoor dining space for up to 60 people and an additional 24 on the attached covered deck area.
Kitchen: If renting the Lodge, the kitchen facility is also available for your group to use. It has running water, one standard refrigerator/freezer combo (similar to a home unit), a six-burner stove, a small grill, and a broiler. There are also shelves, counter space for use, and storage of materials.
Campsites: There are three main large group campsites on the campus (with room to spread out within each section). Fires are restricted to the main fire pit near the lodge and the lodge fire place.
Picnic Area: Picnic tables are located near the Lodge, seating approximately 60 people.
Recreation: Recreation activities include gaga ball, hiking trails, tetherball, corn hole, tire swing, volleyball, and Eshom Creek—more to come. Please note: While you enjoy the wonderful amenities at Wortman Campus, please be aware that the Hartland Main Campus activities and facilities are exclusive to its visitors. These two campuses are distinct, and the main Hartland Campus is reserved for its guests only.
Restrooms: The Lodge has one flush toilet and two shower stalls. Twin toilet facilities are located on the dirt road just north of the Lodge. In addition, there are twin solar-showers* and another twin toilet facility near the archery area along the dirt road leading north of the camp. There are a combined total of four showers and five flush toilets between these facilities. *(The two Solar showers are warmed by the sun, at other times they are cold).
MEETING SPACES
The Lodge: The Lodge can be used as a meeting space and includes tables and chairs. Power is available in the Lodge. The Lodge is equipped with ceiling fans as well as portable fans.
Outdoor Amphitheaters: Two amphitheaters provide stunning views of the San Joaquin Valley and are located on the west and northwest ends of the property.
Fire Pit: A large fire pit is located approximately 40 yards north of the Lodge, with log seating provided around it.
FEES
Per Person Fee: Current season rates 2024: $10 per person/night (Including day-use guests; please note Boy Scout Chartered groups also pay the updated rate).
Lodge: The use of the Lodge, which contains a kitchen and meeting room, costs $30 per day in addition to the per-person fee. A cleaning deposit may be required for the use of this facility. Please check with the Hartland Office for details.
Meals: Meals are not provided at this facility. Your group will need to bring or prepare your own meals.
