Carpet Ball (Gutter Ball)

Carpet Ball (also known as Gutter Ball) is a fun-filled game that is best played with best two out of three rounds. It’s perfect for killing time or as a planned tournament option for your group. In our experience, this activity is used at all hours and the real challenge is having campers walk away from it!

The object of Carpet Ball is knock the opposing player’s pool balls into the gutter (area directly in front of each player). Turns are taken until all 5 of the opponent’s pool balls have been knocked into the gutter. Games typically take 1-2 minutes each, which makes this activity ideal for quick tournaments.

Rules will be posted near this activity and in 2025 it is located in front of the dining hall, just outside of the Lower Room. We currently have two Carpet Ball tables.

This free activity does not have any age-restrictions, please just ensure your younger campers know the rules and play appropriately.
