Josh Anacker has served at Hartland Christian Camp for several years. He loves the Lord and is a Licensed Timber Operator. As the Special Projects Supervisor he also oversees our Forestry and Fire Prevention programs here at camp.

SpeakerBud Englund

Bud and his wife, Rita, have a long history of serving in youth and children’s camp ministries. They met in their early 20’s serving at Wolf Mt. Camp in Grass Valley. Bud was working as a counselor of a teen work crew and Rita was a lifeguard. He also worked as a young adult at Mt. Hope as a maintenance worker. Later, when their four kids started attending church camps, they dove back into camp ministry. Bud volunteered as a medic and Rita as a counselor and later as an assistant director. Bud was employed with Oroville City Fire Dept. for 16 years and after a successful battle with cancer, was forced to retire. During this time, he volunteered at Mt Hope Bible Camp doing various projects. For the last 8 years Bud has served as the Executive Director at Mt Hope Bible Camp Bud would love to share his amazing story of how God led him back to Mt Hope Bible Camp over a cup of coffee. He stays active in a local volunteer fire department so that he can get out as a PIO on major incidents. He also enjoys fishing and hanging out with family and friends. Bud and Rita attend church in the community of Hallwood and love to serve where ever they are needed. Bud and Rita are excited for this new challenge God has given them and to see how God is going to work through their lives here at Mt. Hope Bible Camp.

Hartland Fire Prevention & Forestry Conference

Hartland’s Fire Prevention & Forestry Conference is an event designed specifically for CCCA Sierra Pacific Sectional Camps in an effort to share key details on protecting your ministry, staff, and guests from wildfire impacts. This event is not open to the community or other organizations.

As part of our ministry to other camps, Hartland will not be charging for this event.

Please note, as we are a small-to-medium-sized camp, we do have limited quantities of preferred housing. We will place our guests into Deluxe Rooms (linens provided) on a first-come/first-served basis with multiple occupancy. From that point we will shift to dorm-style housing. Register early to secure the best housing!

Meals will be provided during your stay and most, if not all, housing will come with linens. Again, registering early ensures this.

Topics Include:
Defensible Space, Structure Hardening, Forest Management, Fire Service Coordination, Tools & Uses, Heavy Equipment, and Practices & Preparations.

Presentations include current and former Fire Service personnel as well as Licensed Timer Operators.

The first 50 registrants will be entered to win a 16″ Echo Chainsaw for their camp.

Check-in begins as early as 3pm the first day and meals will be provided starting with dinner the first night through breakfast the last day. If your flight arrives early that day, please check with our team on the possibility of an earlier check-in. Partial stays are fine, we encourage you to sign up even if you can only make part of the event.

This helps Hartland set aside housing for your group. This info can update as we get closer to camp (swaps, etc.) and as space remains available.

Please note, Hartland is not charging for this event and will assign housing based on our available resources and with multiple-occupancy as part of our stewardship of resources. Once Deluxe rooms are filled, we will utilize our Dorms (Robin's Nest/Eagle's Perch). Early registration helps ensure linens and preferred housing.
