Father & Son Retreat

The Father-Son Retreat at Hartland Christian Camp in Central California is a fantastic opportunity for fathers to focus on God and their ministry in the context of fellowship with their sons. Enjoy solid biblical teaching, small group discussion times, and many exciting recreational activities. This is the perfect event to invite other dads who may benefit from some one-on-one time with their sons. They’ll hear what being a Christ-follower is all about and have an absolute BLAST!

This event is designed to allow for purposeful time between fathers and sons, filled with adventures, fishing, quiet times, discussion groups, and more, this will be an event to remember for years to come!

Includes two nights lodging, six meals, program, and recreation. Arrive at camp between 4:00 and 6:00 pm on Friday. Camp ends after brunch on Sunday. A non-refundable registration fee of $40 will hold your reservation.

Please note that Hartland reserves the option to house registered individuals in community housing alongside others unless all beds in a room are filled with your co-registered roommates. Cabins house up to 8 guests; Deluxe housing accommodates 3-4 guests. Eshom Hotel Semi-Deluxe Rooms house two guests per room. Robin’s Nest & Eagle’s Perch house up to 10 guests per room.

How it works

Your Part:
To receive a church group discount, we will require a minimum of seven (7) individuals and a guarantee of ½ the maximum occupancy for each room you would like to reserve. In other words, if a single room has a maximum occupancy of 8 people, we will require a minimum guarantee of 4 people to reserve that room. The goal is to have the church promote the event to your members and bring up a community of fathers and sons from your congregation to grow or restore relationships.

Our part:
We give your church a discounted rate for each camper (this is a lower rate than individuals not coming with a church as you are organizing, promoting, and processing your own attendee payments). Plus, each camper has free access to all free recreation activities (paintball is extra). We provide your church with access to Hartland’s online registration system. This easy-to-use system streamlines registering campers, sending confirmation notices, and creating rosters (paper forms are also available). We also provide you with a free promotional video, posters, bulletin inserts, and flyers to get the word out.
Your Part:

  1. You decide how many camper spots you want to reserve and submit your request below.
  2. You secure the spots by signing a contract and making a deposit of $40 per camper.
  3. You collect the completed registrations and money from your campers.
  4. Two weeks before camp, you give Hartland one check for the camp fees’ balance due, cabin assignment sheets, completed medical forms, and volunteer counselor applications.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Warm clothing for evenings
  • Good walking/hiking shoes
  • “Grubbies” (clothes that can get dirty if you decide to play paintball)
  • Jacket, sweatshirt, etc.

  • Earplugs (if your roommates snore)

WHAT NOT TO BRING

  • Wives or Daughters (this is a father-son retreat)
  • Pets or emotional support animals
  • Alcohol
  • Drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor)
